Software Developer in Test – Web Services contract role, 6 months +
My client is one of world’s most innovative, inspirational and often controversial companies. They are home to some of Ireland’s leading minds in Technology, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance.
We are looking for a highly motivated C++ or C# developer with a creative, inquisitive, and explorative mind, and great passion for shipping quality software that will impact millions of users.
In this position you will be responsible for putting in place test infrastructure and processes and performing hands-on test automation code development. We are seeking a proven contributor with a great track record of delivering complex software releases on time and with a very high quality bar.
Responsibilities
• Strong object-oriented programming skills in C++, C#
• At least 4 years of relevant product development and testing experience, including 4 years experience coding in C# and/or C++
• Experience with the use of test frameworks, UI automation, web automation, writing test plans
• Great blend of technology background, passion to learn, and customer focus
• Energy and desire to deliver high-quality software on aggressive schedules
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• A university computer science degree or equivalent
Core requirements:
• At least 3 years of software development experience
• Strong object-oriented development skills in ASP.NET and C#
• Strong background in web application and/or mobile web service development/testing
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent coordination, cooperation, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proactive working and appropriate ownership attitude
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Additional Requirements:
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in any of the following is a big plus: semantic web technologies and/or data visualization techniques
• Programming experience with ASP.NET, AJAX, SQL, and ADO.NET
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Post-graduate degree in computer science or equivalent field
