IT Manager - Network Operations is required for a leading company in North Dublin

Duties

Hardware

 Support and maintenance of all Servers\ Desktops \ Laptops.
 Support and maintenance of all internal network services.
 Support and maintenance of all ancillary hardware and services.
 Data and physical security.
 Disaster recovery.
 Asset management.
 Vendor management; Licensing, Support, Procurement.
 Support across multiple international sites and time zones.

Software

 Support and maintenance of all internal software systems.
 Application design and development.
 MIS management and ad-hoc reporting.
 Release and version management.
 Application of software development best practices.
 Liaise with external software development providers.

General

 Manage the current IT team members within Hibernia.
 Liaise with other departments, identifying and delivering their IT needs.
 Report to senior management.
 Manage the IT budget

Essential Skills & Experience (key competencies)

• Experience

 Third level degree in computer science with an in-depth knowledge of hardware and software, reporting and networking configurations.
 Experience in the Telecoms industry a distinct advantage
 Ability to manage technical staff.
 Experience in process/performance management.
 Knowledge of Project and Programme Management.
• Skills

 SQL and Crystal Reports experience.
 Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange , Active Directory, Domains etc…
 Knowledge of data storage concepts, SAN, NAS, iScusi, RAID etc…
 Knowledge of software development processes and techniques.
 Strong understanding of voice and data networking.
 Self motivated , delivery focused with the ability to adapt to business and system changes.
