Senior Solicitor - Clinical Negligence to act on behalf of leading public and private insurers, handling medical negligence claims across all areas including obstetrics, paediatrics, oncology and plastic surgery.

Core Responsibilities

You'll handle a challenging caseload of defendant medical negligence work on behalf of public and private healthcare providers. The work will include drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, conducting face to face negotiations and mediation of claims as well as preparing counter schedules in high value claims.
You'll be expected to make an appropriate contribution to non fee earning activity e.g. knowledge sharing, training and marketing. The role will also entail lecturing to clients both at internal and external seminars as well as writing in house and external publications.
Key Skills

As a member of this expanding team you'll possess medical negligence expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Irish health sector, ideally gained through significant and prolonged experience within a well recognised firm. You will have had significant experience of acting in multi-million pound claims.
You'll have exemplary communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. You will enjoy working as part of a collegiate team not only within Dublin, but also your network of colleagues in other offices.
In order to excel within this role you'll be commercially minded and results driven, with the ability to see legal issues within the client's broader operating environment. You will be required to handle a complex and constantly changing workload and to work under pressure.
