Lead lawyer for in–house Derivatives centre in a major blue chip group. Our client currently transacts interest rate swaps and FX. This position will be responsible for all legal and regulatory aspects of operations, primarily involving ISDA Documentation, collateral, and repurchase agreements. A paralegal will support this position. The position will report to Managing Director and the successful candidate will work closely with the Global Treasury and Capital Markets Legal and Compliance team.. The successful candidate will be handling:
• ISDA Master Agreements/ CSA’s
• Master Repurchase Agreements
• Credit risk mitigation efforts through review and application of relevant bankruptcy opinions and use of netting tools
• Intercompany loans, outsourcing and confidentiality agreements and other contracts
• All aspects of corporate governance including compliance with policies and applicable laws and regulations, company filings, attendance at board meetings and related minutes
Qualifications/Requirements
• Law degree and appropriate solicitor/attorney qualification plus at least 8 years of post admission legal experience, including derivatives, in a major financial institution/premier law firm
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage standard documentation processes
• Significant experience negotiating and drafting derivatives, repurchase, and collateral documentation
• Ability to work independently; self-starter
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and other lawyers
• High degree of customer focus
• Excellent prioritization skills

•Experience in Structured Finance / Interest rate and cross currency swaps and foreign exchange transactions
• Futures/clearing house experience
• Bankruptcy expertise
