We are looking for our client an experienced Bar Manager The Assistant Bar Manager will be responsible for assisting the Bar Manager in ensuring excellent, friendly and efficient service provision. The successful candidate must have both food and beverage experience and must have experience managing a team. The Assistant Bar Manager will be required to work 5 days out of 7 days per week which will include evening and weekend shifts.
To offer the highest level of guest service in the Bar, ensuring the 4* agreed standards are achieved at all times;
To manage the team to effectively deliver the company's' promise to our guests, 'excellent friendly service by exceptional people and every guest ~ every employee ~ every time .
To ensure that you have an in~depth knowledge of your department product in addition to being aware of the total hotel facilities;
To assist the Bar Manager , maintained and delivered at all times. Train the team accordingly;
Run the department in the absence of the Bar Manager.
To assist the Bar Manager in effectively managing the costs and stock of the department, ensuring the achievement of a favorable GP;
To work as part of the Team, building a professional and respectful working relationship with your team and other managers of the hotel alike;

To promote sales within the department and across the hotel;
To carry out a training needs analysis regularly in conjunction with the bar manager, ensuring that all training needs are met and that the team have the knowledge and the skills to carry out their duties competently;
To control and monitor staff whilst on duty, ensuring all duties are being carried out fully;
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene and Licensing law;
The successful candidate must have:
5 years experience in the Food & Beverage department of a 4 hotel;
3 years supervisory or management experience. Previous food and beverage management experience would be a distinct advantage.
Must be passionate about customer service and staff training;
Good hygiene practice skills;
Be legally entitled to work in Ireland without restrictions. A work permit (if required) will be requested
