Purpose of the role

To provide first class quality customer service to our customers and build strong professional relationships with multiple stakeholders. The role is a unique link between our customers, sales and operations and is part of a larger team to ensure we consistently achieve a quality service to our customers.

Customer Service activities include, order processing, quality reporting and maximising invoice revenue.

Role Requirements

Ensure best-in-class customer experience

  • Meeting customer expectations ensuring a firstclass service to our customer service with a positive attitude
  • Achieve prompt and professional response times to all customer queries via phone and e-mail with a focus on first time resolution

Build effective relationships

  • Develop, strengthen and maintain customers working professional relationships
  • Maintain and develop a collaborative approach with work colleagues across all areas of the business

Process orders accurately

  • Preparation and processing of documentation for collection and deliveries
  • Order processing, data/EDI entry of customers orders in accordance with agreed timelines

Improve and monitor service quality

  • Run daily reports to monitor, maintain and resolve shipment discrepancies with a customer focused solution
  • Issue performance reports to customers when there is a discrepancy with our service
  • Process and report monthly KPI and OTIF reports in accordance with customers SOPs

Maximise revenue generation

  • Accurately price all inbound and outbound shipments on a daily basis in line with rates quoted
  • Maximise revenue by upselling and capturing value added service charges

Attributes and skills required

  • 1-2 years experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferable in Logistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, committed and driven
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organisational and administration skills
  • Professional telephone manner with the ability to adjust and manage your style depending on the situation
  • Flexibility with a positive outlook and willingness to learn
  • Ability to deliver both individual results, as well as contribution to team success
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to respond positively to change
This is a temporary contract for 3 months with a competitive salary offered.
