Recruiting a Prep for an exciting dining concept – no evenings.
Objectives of the Role:
Reporting to the Head Chef, the Prep Chef will support the chef and kitchen team in providing excellent quality food.
We are looking for a friendly, talented chef, somebody who has a positive attitude, stay focused & organised and that understands the importance of being an integral part of a team.
This position will suit an ambitious chef who will work with the Head Chef to take the food preparation to the next level.
Ideally you will be somebody who would like to stay and grow withing the company as they have opportunities for future roles within their group.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with the production of all dish requirements.
Working alongside the Head Chef in providing excellent food & service.
Menu development, production & implementation.
Experience in high volume cooking is an advantage.
Ability to follow standard recipes and procedures is vital in this role.
Experience with food display counters from presentation, batch cooking and food quality checks.
Purchasing, Menu Development, HACCP, Portion Control.
Should be able to demonstrate flair, creativity and skills in the kitchen.
Should possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
Ability to work under pressure.
Good time keeping.
Must be flexible.
Meals provided on duty.
Flexible working hours – no evenings.
Full time contract.
