Reporting to the proprietors, your position will include responsibility for all kitchen team. High standards of quality and hygiene management will be required as well as the ability to motivate, manage and develop the whole kitchen team.

Our ideal candidate will show flexibility by following on from what we are already doing as well as introducing some new initiatives through consultation with management e.g. new menu suggestions & industry best practice. Familiar with all aspects of HACCP.

Your job profile will include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the department through effective management.
  • Conduct regular training for the kitchen.
  • To comply with all health, safety and welfare statutory requirements.
  • To ensure that safe & healthy work environment is maintained.
  • To assist in ensuring all kitchen staff are able to carry out their duties to the standards as laid down in the standard of performance manuals.
  • To assist in maximising revenues, cost percentages and menu structure through efficient management.
  • To update menus consistently and seasonally according to standard.
  • To ensure that we check product satisfaction standards and consistency.
  • To ensure all kitchen staff make sure product is to standards prior to presentation to guests.
  • To assist in updating hotel recipes and menu specs along with menu changes.
  • To be responsible for kitchen rotas.
