Purpose of Role

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager for the day to day management of technical services for our client, a world leading Facilities Management Services provider. You either need a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or trades qualified in an appropriate discipline, with plenty of people-management experience.

Job Experience and Essential Qualifications

  • 3rd level Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or Senior Trades
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo or similar CMMS systems
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience providing on-site technical services
  • On-site and Off-site Contractor Co-ordination/ Management essential
  • Excellent leadership / people management essential
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry very desireable

Main Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Daily management of the on-site FM team and on-site/ off-site contractors
  • Technical oversight of services including fire protection & detection, water services & sewerage, lighting, HVAC, BMS Systems, LT power, gas detection, access control/ calibrations
  • Ensure provision of essential HSE
  • Implement effective operational, maintenance and service strategies
  • Assist with financial reporting, procurement, billing and invoicing
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing progress against targets, SLAs and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, Safety & Environmental, Quality, legislative and statutory programmes
  • Ensure Customer Service standards are world class
  • Manage a comprehensive Contractor Management System
  • Ensure all contractors have quotations in place for all work activities
  • Support day to day HR management e.g. annual appraisals, training needs
  • Train staff & contractors in EHS, GMP training, site policies & procedures
  • Manage technical contractors in specific GMP and non GMP equipment/areas
  • Ensure all PPM’s/CM’s/RM Work Orders are safely completed on time
  • Ensure that all Risk Assessment, Safe Plan of Actions, and Method Statements are in place
  • Ensure Civil, Mechanical and Electrical critical work activities are identified and completed on time
  • Ensure 100% availability of CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm System, PI system, Fire pumps, PIV, Hydrants, Deluge valves, and Jockey Pumps
  • Ensure that all statutory inspections are planned and executed
  • Ensure that CMMS activities are carried out and all relevant assets are identified
