Duties Include: Overall Responsibility for the Mechanical / Piping Contract ensuring that it is delivered on schedule, in line with client specification and within budget. Review and become familiar with all project drawings, BOQ’s, specifications and all other contract requirements prior to project commencement. Plan, organise and prioritise the timely availability of manpower, equipment, materials and other resources necessary for the optimum sequencing of site activity.
Co-ordinate all project activity in conjunction with the client, consultant, the offsite fabrication team, safety and quality personnel. Organise and manage all site staff to ensure that project information and hand over requirements are controlled and reported in a timely manner.
Manage site supervision to ensure that all labour, plant and equipment are maintained at efficient levels. Manage on-site sub-contractors. Develop a close working relationship with the project QS to ensure accurate cost control, recording and timely reporting of all contract variations. Manage in conjunction with the Safety Officer the site safety programme.Lead company representative at all project related site meetings. Generate regular project reports for presentation to senior management .Report directly to project director Suitable Candidates should possess the following: Appropriate accredited qualifications. A minimum of 8 years experience in a role with similar responsibilities.Past experience with process mechanical pipe installation projects in the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
