Job Title: Electrician Hospital Setting

TTM Healthcare are currently working in partnership with One of Ireland's leading Private Healthcare Hospital Groups based in Dublin North in the search of a qualified Electrician.
As an Electrician, you will ensure that all electrical systems and repairs are to the highest quality and report anything abnormal to the Technical Services Manager.
•To ensure that all electrical circuits are installed and tested in accordance with national rules for electrical installations and in compliance with E.T.C.I (Electro Technical Council of Ireland). To advise the Technical Services Manager of any areas of non-compliance.
•To ensure all electrical P.P.M tests/checks are carried out on the fire alarm system, stand-by generator, emergency lighting systems, servicing electrical distribution boards, testing/tripping of R.C.D's throughout the Hospital, U.P.S theatre, earth bonding testing and that above are all documented in accordance with departmental procedures.
•To provide on-call support to the Hospital after hours, as required.
•To ensure that all non-medical electrical equipment is P.A.T. tested before going into service in the Hospital and that serial number(s) and model number(s) etc, are passed to the office so information can be placed on the P-Mac System.
•To provide feed back to the local Head of Department on completion of jobs and advise the Technical Services Manager if there is a problem in completing a job.
•To follow in-house policies, procedures and guidelines.
•To ensure high standards of work and good house keeping at all times.
•To ensure that work areas are double locked and security alarm set at close of day.
•To carry out day to day maintenance duties, which are assigned to you by the Technical Services Manager or his deputy, as appropriate.
•To assign duties to appropriate staff when on annual leave and advise the Technical Services Manager.
•To ensure the control of contractors on site e.g. hot work permit, isolating and medical gases procedures.
•To ensure work area is tidy at all times and appropriate warning signs and barriers are erected. To comply with Health & Safety Regulations, ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment
•To implement quality standards ensuring that a quality service is provided all times.
•Co-operate and assist, as required by the Technical Services Manager or his deputy, with future development/expansion programmes
•To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time
•Have satisfactorily completed a FÁS approved apprenticeship
•Have obtained a pass leaving certificate or equivalent with a minimum of a pass in English, Mathematics and a science subject
•Have good technical knowledge and hold recognised crafts grades qualifications at senior trade or equivalent level
•Have a minimum of five years satisfactory experience, after completion of apprenticeship, as an Electrician
•Have experience of testing and inspection electrical installations and managing test certification and records
•Possess a good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its implementation
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
