Position: Intake Supervisor
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Supervision of all staff in the intake and raw material holding chills area.
Planning of staff rosters – holiday’s etc
Staff health & safety /Wearing PPE.
Appropriate use of forklifts and pallet trucks.
Highlighting any shortages or potential shortages in stocking levels to the Quality Manager
Highlighting any surplus stocking levels to the Quality Manager
QC intake checks
Check in consignment weights.
Handling of meat returns
Supplier tray and pallet returns controls.
Logging out of meat:
Computerised inputting of all trace / batch/ weight in standardised form ( QC 65 )
Planning meat requirements for the following day
Liaising with the cutting and packing department as to their requirements
General Chill management and housekeeping
Stock taking duties
Planning for the stock take and organising duties for an accurate stock take.
Computerised inputting of weekly stock takes into a formalised template.
Adequate staffing of the stock taking function.
Generating the weekly stock take report
Ensuring the freezer is kept in a tidy fashion
Ensuring that the boxed product is palletised in an efficient manner.
Scheduling of despatches and intakes into and out of the freezer
