Electrical apprentice's required for a busy switchgear panel manufacturer in Clane, county Kildare.
Fulltime work and the opportunity to persue an electrical apprenticeship with an established company in the Low-voltage switchgear industry.
The company, Argand Switchgear are an established manufacturer of low-voltage switchgear for
the Irish construction sector. From it's manufacturing facility in county Kildare, Argand
Switchgear's experienced and skilled staff design and build electrical panels to customers
specific requirements. Working with some of the leading electrical contractors in the Irish market, the company provide low-voltage switchgear solutions to various different construction projects throughout Ireland across varying sectors.
Working in a busy manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate for this role will need to be
motivated, capable of learning fast and good with their hands.
As an electrical apprentice you will be expected to carry out a number of tasks to assist in the day to day running of operations, working alongside electricians and other experienced operatives.
You will be expected to assist in the hands on building and fitting out of the electrical panels,
stock taking, inventory control, etc and taking instruction from
the workshop foreman and management on any other required tasks. All the while, you will gain valuable experience of the electrical systems being manufactured, the quality of workmanship required and the testing procedures in place, all attributing to furthering your path toward apprenticeship.
As this is a hands on role in an electrical manufacturing business, applicants with previous
experience in metalwork, metalwork assembly or electrical work/wiring would be of an advantage,
however this is not a prerequisite if you are a motivated individual with the right attitude hoping to persue a career as an electrician.
This role will be based in Argand's manufacturing workshop in Clane Business Park, Clane,
county Kildare. The role is a full time role based on a standard 39 hour week from Monday to Friday, and
is paid based on an hourly rate. Applicants must be available to start within 1 week and be
available full-time and also be flexible in their availability for overtime outside of standard working
hours and at weekends if required form time to time.
