The Telephone Exchange depicts the lives of 4 telephonists working in the Dublin telephone exchange in 1963. The girls share a passion for JFK and love to eavesdrop on the lives of others but it soon becomes apparent that the colourful calls and long hours they are privy to act as a welcome distraction from their own personal dilemmas.
