Our client is a global medical insurance company located in Dublin that is searching for a German Compliance and Operational Risk Specialist to join their growing team.

The Role:

 Assisting with the development and documentation of appropriate compliance and risk management frameworks

 Supporting the CLE Chief Compliance Officer and CLE Operational Risk Manager in the assessment of key risks across our business, both from a compliance and operational risk perspective

 Facilitating compliance and operational risk assessment workshops

 Support the business areas in implementing compliance and operational risk controls and processes

 Assisting in the production of compliance and operational risk reports and metrics for senior management and Board

 Supporting the promotion of a strong awareness across the company of our compliance and risk obligations and responsibilities, and promoting a culture of compliance and risk awareness

 Assisting with other compliance and operational risk management duties as directed by the CLE Chief Compliance Officer and CLE Head of Risk Management

 Developing strong relationships with the key CLE business units both in Ireland and in Germany

 Working closely with the global compliance and risk management teams

The Person:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:

 Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in German (essential) and English.

 Primary Degree preferable and / or a good level of compliance and operational risk management knowledge

 Previous experience in a compliance or legal role in the financial services industry would be an asset

 A good knowledge of life assurance industry

 Excellent PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 Interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence people

 Analytical skills and a good eye for detail

 Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under time pressure

 Be capable of quickly adapting to new systems and tools
