I am selling my 1972 Limited Edition (LE) Gibson “Black Beauty” 1954 Les Paul Custom re-issue.These were the first “re-issue” guitars from Gibson and were produced in small numbers in 1972 (60 made) and 1973 (1000 made). It has a P90 pickup in the bridge position and a fabulous “Alnico V” or “Staple” in the neck which has really nice clarity and articulation.
This is one of the first type of guitars Paul McCartney owned. It has been well looked after. It has new parts and new strings. The action is a bit high. I am selling to clear space and besides I have so many guitars already. Millennium Bass Drum 22'' damaged front skin, still sounds good, Remo back skin cost 25 quid new, unworn and in perfect condition.
10'' and 12'' Mid Toms, Evans G14 double ply skins barely used cost €17 quid each new. Toms in good shape no bottom skin.
Relevant hardware include, no Bass Drum pedal available however. Will throw in a pair of sticks or 2 in asking price is met, cheers.
