Part time Double Decker Drivers are required to drive a Double Decker for 6 hours per day (3 in the morning & 3 in the afternoon) for a maximum of 4 days per week. You must hold a valid driving licence which includes category D Licence, Digital Tachograph Card, and a Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and you will also need to successfully complete Garda Vetting.
Rates from €75 – 100 per day (8 hours)
Additional optional work
During the hours in between the morning and afternoon runs, you will have the option of doing some private hire work, assisting on site, the office or collecting parts etc.

As a double decker bus driver you will ensure that commuters are taken to and from bus stops to work/drop off point safely along a pre-defined route. You will be responsible for operating your vehicle safely and efficiently and treating colleagues and fellow road users with courtesy. You will be required to maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle daily, carry out the walk around checks, be aware of any vehicle defects and report them in a timely manner as well as be aware of the vehicle’s servicing intervals.
As a double decker bus driver, you will have the responsibility for ensuring that, whilst carrying out your duties, you do so in a way that would not put yourself, your colleagues or the company at risk. You will be representing the company and our customers so excellent self-presentation and customer service is essential. You must be patient in all of your dealings with members of the particular office park served, including parents who are dropping off children at the onsite creche.
We are looking for someone who is 25 years old or over, has held a full, clean driving licence (no more than 3 penalty points) for more than 2 years, has a friendly manner and who can work part-time hours from 06.00 am at least four days per week Monday – Friday to assist with the operation of this service.
In addition, you must possess an Android or iOS smartphone (to facilitate driver’s app and work ticket communication with our office), have a professional driving style - keep within speed limits, travel gently over speed ramps, etc. and have a comprehensive knowledge of Dublin city and surrounding area.
Some uniform is supplied and it must be worn when representing the company - you will be responsible for laundering it on a weekly basis and providing your own black formal trousers and black boots/shoes that must be polished on a daily basis.
Commission is payable to you for any additional private hire work introduced to us and optional extra weekend work may be available, provided it observes your weekly rest period and tachograph regulations.
