RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform and manage the day to day accounting function of the buying group
  • Responsible for all accounts receivable function, accounts payable function, journal entry preparation and reconciliations
  • Responsible for all company bank reconciliations
  • Responsible for all invoices & Credit Notes issued and received and allocation of payments against invoices
  • Responsible for accuracy and maintenance of the general ledger and the financial statements and reports
  • Process VAT Returns
  • Provide timely and accurate statutory financial information
  • Create, report and analyse financial data
  • Design and implementation of appropriate systems and procedures of financial control
  • Maintenance and management of accounting software system
  • Maintenance and management of electronic and hard copy file management
  • Ensure all queries are investigated and resolved in a timely manner
  • General administrative duties
  • Oversee administration of staff payroll function and staff management information
  • Liaise with buying teams, member’s and suppliers to attain and circulate required information
  • Assist in the co-ordination of group bulk purchasing
  • Perform Trading & Profit and loss Account & Balance sheet.
SKILLS

  • Have independence to self-manage, set goals and be accountable for results
  • Have the ability to effectively interact with various levels and functions within the organisation
  • Be technically strong and willing to come up to speed quickly.
  • Ability to suggest, demonstrate, implement and support process improvement ideas and initiatives

  • Excellent Excel skills to be able to manipulate data
