To whom it may concern,
I am writing to apply for a role in your company as a second year apprentice electrician. I am eager to learn and very quick at grasping any task which may be put in front of me. I excel in areas where time is spent to show me how things are done. I have an exceptional eye for attention to detail and I am not afraid to ask a question to make sure I have completed work correctly. I have my own car with a full clean Irish driving licence. I can work on my own or as part of a team.
My training so far includes Abrasive Wheel, Working at Heights, Mobile Elevated Working Platform, Clean Rooms, Live Zone Work and Forklift Operative, some of which is in house training. I have experience in pharmaceutical work and confidential data centres. My experience in pharmaceutical work includes Regeneron Co. Limerick and Genzyme Co. Waterford which also shows I have no problem in travelling. I have been part of cable pulls which include fibre, medium voltage aluminium cables, 300 sq. single core cables and four by 150 sq flex cable to name just a few. Other experience includes bus duct installation and BMS in data hall and electrical rooms.
My college results from phase two is an overall Merit which I would like to improve to a distinction in phase four.
Four of my team mates and myself were recently involved in a fundraiser for both Drumree and Dunshaughlin GAA. This included us getting up on stage as part of a group Lip Syncing the song Lady Marmalade for our local hurling club.
My ideal role would be in a van traveling around to different jobs staying overnight in places getting lots of experience but I do realise I will most likely need to be qualified for a job of that nature.
