Venue Development, Income Generation and Awareness-Raising of Outhouse Spaces.
Marketing / Communications Strategy.
Devise, develop and deliver a comprehensive strateic and tactical plan for venue development, income generation and awareness-raising of Outhouse spaces in line with Outhouse’s current Business Plan.
Maximising venue usage and revenues, ensuring maximum usage of Outhouse spaces (including office hire). Forging sustainable links with current and potential (new business) user groups / organisations.
Ensuring that all spaces are fully operational including routine co-ordination of staff and volunteers in relation to venue hire.
Record, monitor and evaluate venue usage, revenues and profile via monthly reports.
Idea generation and content creation of new cultural, artistic and social events / projects to Include the production of marketing material and evaluation of same.
Secure funding to run events / projects (preparation and writing of funding applications e.g. Arts Council).
Defining and managing Outhouse’s marketing and communications strategy.
Writing, editing and curating communications content for Outhouse website and digital media platforms.
Develop Outhouse media relationships including press release writing, distribution, media monitoring and campaign evaluation.
Development and content management of Master Communications database / mailing list.
Any other duties that may be required from time to time.
Key Skills Required for Role
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline such as Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations and Communications.
Excellent understanding of digital marketing / media.
Knowledge and experience of working in cultural / arts environment.
Excellent communication skills and fluent written and spoken English.
High levels of initiative and ability to work without direct supervision.
Excellent word-processing and database management skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills, including copywriting and proofing skills.
First class communication skills, ability to operate professionally and effectively at all levels.
Ability to facilitate, maintain and manage good working relationship between staff, volunteers, user groups and partner organisations.
Clear understanding of working with diverse communities and individuals.
Ability to review, analyse and present financial reports.
Experience in funding applications.
Flexibility is required in all aspects of this post.
Overview of Practical Arrangements
Salary & Hours: Starting salary of €18,000 (30 hours per week) - negotiable depending on experience.
Place of work: The place of work shall be Outhouse, 105 Capel Street, Dublin 1.
Term: 1 year renewable contract (including 6 month probationary period).
