An early years practitioner is required to work in a play-based setting in conjunction with AIM support. The position is a classroom assistant to work with all children, in particular, one child with additional needs whom requires additional support for inclusion in the setting. The position is for 15 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9-12 p.m.
Duties will include:
-Promoting and supporting an inclusive practice and supporting the children in their play, learning and development, while specifically catering to the additional needs of the children.
-Carrying out observations on the children and assisting with curriculum planning.
– Communicating with the parents, and working as part of a team.
-C.P.D. is important to us here and we will work towards achieving the highest standard possible.
The applicant must:
hold a minimum FETAC level 5 qualification in early years education. The candidate should be caring, patient, enthusiastic and very reliable. Should work well as part of a team. Experience working with children with additional needs, in particular, Autism, is desirable.
