Pig Farm Assistants

Pat Roche Piggery Limited is seeking experienced Pig Farm Assistants for its pig production sites in Monemore, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.

Duties
Manage finisher pigs and monitor daily growth and weight.
Operate feeding and watering systems.
Assist with breeding, farrowing and weaning.
Monitor animal health and welfare.
Administer treatments and vaccinations as directed.
Maintain high standards of farm hygiene and biosecurity.
Clean and disinfect pig housing and equipment.
Follow farm production procedures and work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ documented experience on a commercial pig farm.
Proven hands-on experience in finisher pig management.
Good animal husbandry skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow health, safety and biosecurity procedures.
Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.

Remuneration €36,605 per annum, based on a standard 39-hour working week.
