Primary Summer Grinds/Tuition Available

Description: Qualified Primary School Teacher providing online grinds over Zoom or face-to-face grinds at any time during the summer holidays. I am available for grinds in any primary school subject on the curriculum and can help your child catch-up with the curriculum or areas they are struggling with over the summer.
My teaching approach: I have a keen interest in developing and improving students confidence in the curricular area they may have worries about, I believe a reciprocal relationship exists between self-esteem and skill development. As self-esteem improves, academic skills will increase. And as academic skills increase, self-esteem will improve. My methodological approach in teaching is active learning and inquiry learning, I use teaching methods such as, visualisation, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, and differentiation. I ensure students are enjoying the learning process and are active throughout.
Background: I am a qualified primary school teacher, with 4 years experience. I teach in a Gaelscoil. I attended a Gaelscoil and Gaelcholaiste for my own schooling. I am a fluent Irish speaker. I have experience as a home tutor and a July provision tutor. I also have a keen interest in Special Education and I have extensive experience of working with children that have various additional needs. I have a special interest in improving students confidence in the curricular area they may need help in.

Mary Immaculate College - Professional Masters in Education (Primary Teaching) (Graduating grade 1.1)
U.C.C. - B.A. in Early Years Education and Childhood Studies (Graduating grade 2.1)
