CNC Operator
Location: Dublin
Salary: Negotiable
The Job
Manage and produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating CNC machinery to meet production schedules in a busy manufacturing environment. The CNC Operator will report to the Head of Distribution.
Responsibilities:
• Plan machining by work schedules
• Programming CNC machinery
• Production set up
• Setting of cutting tools, speeds and feeds to job package specification
• Organise work components to maximise outputs in line with work measurement
• Achieving competitive cycle times and production targets
• Use your knowledge of the machine to select the correct tool/insert settings & utilise the correct feeds and speeds
• Apply problem-solving techniques as required
• Ensure that quality standards are achieved using quality inspection techniques
• Ensure waste is minimised
• Complete all maintenance checks & relevant documentation
• Maintain good housekeeping within the work area
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience of CNC machining
• Experience working with and handling sheet material, Acrylic, PVC etc.
• Basic understanding of Artcam/Autocad or similar for programming machinery
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Ability to work within and contribute to a multidisciplinary team structure
