Health Care Assistant

CORU Care Limited requires a Health Care Assistant to support residents in their daily lives, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. The HCA provides person-centered care under the guidance of nursing staff and ensures a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Pay: €33,529.60 per year (€16.12 hourly)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Co. Dublin

Duties:
• Help residents with personal care, hygiene, dressing and mobility, using equipment like hoists where needed
• Support residents with meals and drinks, and record what they eat and drink
• Help with everyday tasks and activities, including outings (which may include driving)
• Give person-centred emotional and social support in line with care plans, and promote independence and choice
• Watch for changes in residents’ health, report them to nursing staff, and take routine observations
• Protect residents’ dignity, rights and privacy, and report safeguarding concerns right away
• Keep care records accurate, in line with GDPR and HIQA standards
• Work with the multidisciplinary team and take part in handovers and care plan reviews
• Complete mandatory training and keep up with centre policies
