Master Scheduler - Glass Plant
Location: Qatar
Salary: Negotiable
Job Description
The Master Scheduler is an attention-to-detail individual responsible for the planning of all production activities assigned to them. They are responsible for creating production plans that best utilise capacities, whilst delivering optimum lead times. Also to review forecasts/future projects and advise management of potential constraints, thus allowing remedial actions to be taken in advance.
Responsibilities
· Efficiently create both long-term and short-term production plans
· Conduct monthly reviews of forecasts/new contracts
· Create Job Orders to generate demand for production materials
· Set levels limits for consumables
· Agree and publish dates for material deliveries
· Monitor material delivery dates
· Record performance
· Follow job orders through invoicing
· Report daily production figures
· Establish KPI's to monitor performance
· Create/maintain flexibility to deal with contingencies
· Establish policies and procedures
· Assist in the development of staff
· Support robust data collection systems
· Promote a QSHE culture
· Be a driver of continuous improvement
Experience
· BS degree in relevant Manufacturing discipline
· 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing industry
· At least 5 years' experience in a planning role
· Experience in Middle East preferred
· Glass Processing experience
· Strong commercial awareness
· Excellent working knowledge of MS Office & MS Project
· Strong working knowledge of Production Planning/ERP software
Other
· Fluent in written and spoken English
· Strong communication skills
· Client-centric approach
· Able to work with multicultural workforce
· Time flexibility to ensure work schedule compliance
· Willing to travel
