Description
Van driver required 3 days per week (Mon, Wed, Fri ) by Food service business based in Dublin 15. Applicants must speak fluent English be aged over 25 and hold a clean category B drivers license. Previous experience driving vans is required, the delivery vehicles used are LWB Mercedes Sprinters. Working hours are normally 1pm- 9pm to facilitate deliveries into restaurants and takeaways in the Dublin area. Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must as we don't let customers down.
Apart from deliveries other duties involved in the role include but are not confined to;
Collect Van at premises in North Co. Dublin before going to cold store to load product, it is essential that applicants have their own transport as there are no public transport services near the premises.
Sort and load products on van before commencing deliveries, most of the product is loaded by forklift but an element of manual lifting of products will be required, therefore an up to date manual handling certificate is a requirement. A forklift license although not a requirement would be a bonus, the successful applicant will be offered fork lift training after the probationary period.
Ensure the Van is clean and roadworthy prior to departing the cold store.
Strong attention to detail is required particularly in relation to goods delivered and invoicing of product therefore check loading list and customer invoices ensuring all invoices have product traceability recorded on them.
Record temperature check of load prior to loading and note temperature check of product on customer invoices when delivering.
Have a positive attitude and be courteous to customers and work colleagues.
Ensure all customers queries are dealt with during deliveries or referred to office.
