Description
We're hiring a Warehouse Assistant/Operative to join our Operations team in Dublin.
Shift Pattern:
Tuesday - Friday: 8 hour shift between 7am – 8pm rotating weekly with 1 hour paid lunch break
Saturday – 9am – 5pm.
OR
Sunday 9am – 5pm
Monday to Thursday: 8 hour shift between 7am – 8pm rotating weekly with 1 hour paid lunch break
What you’ll be doing:
• Process shipments that pass through the World Courier warehouse facility quickly and efficiently whilst paying attention to detail.
• Keep a close watch on stock levels and advise the manager when they are running low and ordering stock.
• Operation / use of World Courier I.T. systems
• Loading and unloading of vehicles and utilising the correct equipment to do so.
• Performing a weekly stock check of packaging materials. Reporting any damaged packaging to the relevant people
• Processing and refurbishing returned packaging
• Replenishing temperature controlled shipments
• Keep walk in fridge/freezer and controlled ambient room stocked daily with gel packs
• Maintaining a record of all shipments on hold, ensuring they are all stored within the correct temperature parameters and communicating the list to other departments.
What you’ll have:
• Experience/understanding of working in a Warehouse Environment (Ideally preferred in a cold chain environment but retail, manufacturing or any warehouse experience will be considered)
• Ability to follow procedures & instructions, and provide relevant information on request
• Good communication skills – verbally & written
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Self-motivated and remains Calm under pressure
• Flexible attitude – for working shifts and last-minute coverage
• High attention to detail
• Uses own initiative, and be able to prioritise workload
• Presentable, Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
• Physically fit and able to undertake the required tasks
What’s in it for you:
• Salary: €30,000 - €33,000 per annum based on experience
