Description
Friendly, patient teacher with over 25 years teaching experience.
*Music Degree (UCD) and Music Post Grad (TCD).
* In-person OR online lessons. In-person lessons take place in Dublin 8 (a very short walk/bus/car journey from the city centre).
*Learn your favourite songs (Pop, Rock, Classical, Jazz… whatever style you enjoy).
*Prepare for Piano exams if desired. High grades consistently achieved by my students.
*Interested in songwriting?... Perfect your tunes one-on-one with me.
*Learn to read music, play by ear or both.
*Enjoyment guaranteed.
*Class fees are as follows:
30 minute individual lesson
(€27.50)
45 minute individual lesson
(€37.50)
60 minute individual lesson
(€50)
Apart from my formal education, I have recorded and toured with rock bands and provided support to many acts including JJ72 (Irish tour), The Dresden Dolls (Amanda Palmer), The AM (Jeff Buckley guitarist) The Wonderstuff and many more. Having played rock festivals and headlined The Spiegeltent twice I've been fortunate enough to gain invaluable insight into the world of music and live/recorded performance which I bring to each student I teach.
As one part of the 4-piece Dublin based choir Silver Kites I have performed at The National Concert Hall, Dublin.
I have also studied at Grade 8 level singing exams with the vocal coach to such singers as Dermot Kennedy, Hozier, Grace Jones and Thom Yorke.
I have written and produced my own original music/songs, some of which have been aired on 2FM amongst other radio stations.
