Looking for experienced pipelayer for Civils job in Mallow.
Responsibilities:
Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by excavating trenches, ditches, or holes using hand tools, heavy machinery, or equipment such as backhoes and excavators.
Pipe Installation: Lay and align pipes, conduits, or other underground structures according to blueprints, engineering plans, or specifications.
Trench Shoring: Install and maintain trench shoring and supports to ensure the safety and stability of excavated areas.
Grade and Levelling: Use specialized instruments such as levels and lasers to establish proper alignment, grade, and elevation of pipes.
Pipe Connections: Connect pipes and fittings, such as valves and couplings, ensuring secure and leak-free joints.
Pipe Coating: Apply coatings or sealants to pipes to prevent corrosion and extend their lifespan.
Backfilling: Backfill excavated areas with soil or other materials, compacting them to the required density.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Collaboration: Work closely with construction crews, equipment operators, and supervisors to coordinate tasks and complete projects efficiently.
Problem Solving: Identify and address issues or obstacles that may arise during pipe installation, such as underground utilities or unexpected soil conditions.
Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure that pipes are properly aligned, joints are secure, and installations meet quality standards and specifications.
Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in construction, particularly in pipe installation, is often preferred.
Certifications: Safe pass abrasive wheels and manual handling have to be up to date.
Physical Stamina: Pipelayers must have good physical fitness and endurance to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.
Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail are essential to ensure the proper alignment and installation of pipes.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to pipe installation.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of construction equipment and tools.
Communication: Effective verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors
