We are a modern farm, located just outside Kildare Town, that boasts excellent facilities and modern infrastructure. We operate a grass-based system with a 420-cow spring calving dairy herd. We have a progressive attitude towards farming and are looking for someone with a strong interest in furthering their career in the dairy industry with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. The role offers a competitive salary and excellent working conditions including regular rostered time off and holidays.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Duties will include all aspects of dairy farm management and the successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative. The position may suit a recent graduate looking to progress or a farmer looking to be part of an evolving business. Working closely with the both part time and full-time staff the successful candidate will take responsibility for a number of areas, namely:
• Milking operation
• Stock management
• Grass management
• Machinery duties
• Calf Rearing

Recommended qualifications and qualities:
• Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture (recommended not essential)
• Preferably over 2 years on-farm experience with dairy stock
• Full clean driving license.
• Personal qualities; the successful candidate should have a modern approach to farming, be a good problem solver and be capable of working on their own initiative.

Salary will be negotiable and excellent for the right person.
