About the Role
Budlite Healthcare Ltd is opening a new residential / supported living facility in Longford and is seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Care Workers to join our team.
The successful candidate will support individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) and complex needs to live fulfilling, independent lives within a safe, person-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support in line with individual care plans.
Support service users with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement.
Promote independence, dignity, and social inclusion.
Assist in implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), families, and external professionals.
Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding policies, and organisational procedures.
Participate in risk assessments and incident reporting.
Support service users to access education, training, and recreational activities.
Essential Requirements
CORU Registration (or eligibility for registration)
Full clean driving licence (essential)
Minimum 3 year experience working in Intellectual Disability (ID) services
Relevant qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or equivalent
Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts.
Desirable Criteria
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, behaviours of concern, or mental health needs
Training in PMAV / MAPA / Studio III / Low Arousal approaches
Medication management training
Experience in supported living or residential settings.
