WE ARE HIRING – SOCIAL CARE WORKERS

Bud Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Social Care Workers to join our team supporting an adult within our HIQA-registered designated centre in Newtowncashel, Co. Longford.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must hold an appropriate professional qualification and meet one of the following criteria:

• CORU registered as a Social Care Worker, or eligible to practise in accordance with current CORU requirements;
• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RPN/RMN or equivalent recognised registration); or
• Registered Intellectual Disability Nurse (RNID) / recognised Disability Nursing qualification and registration, as applicable.

Applicants must also:

• Hold a full valid driving licence and be confident driving as part of the role;
• Have experience or a strong interest in supporting adults with complex needs, acquired brain injury, mental health and/or intellectual disability;
• Be able to work effectively within a person-centred, multidisciplinary care environment;
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding, positive risk management, professional boundaries and regulatory compliance;
• Be willing to work a flexible rota, including day/night and weekend shifts as required; and
• Satisfy all required employment checks, including Garda Vetting, references and mandatory training.

MALE SOCIAL CARE WORKERS

Due to the specific assessed care, support and personal-care needs of the individual using the service, this particular vacancy requires male support staff. This requirement is related to the nature and circumstances of the care being provided and will be applied in accordance with applicable Irish equality legislation.
