Curam Care Homes currently seeking Healthcare Assistants across the Care Centres.
Locations:
· Curam Care Home Knockrobin Hill, Knockrobin Hill Care Home, Port Road, Wicklow, Co Wicklow.
- Curam Care Home Navan Road, Navan Road, Co Dublin.
- Curam Care Home Oakfield, Oakfield Nursing Home, , Courtown, Gorey, Co Wexford.
- Curam Care Home Carrigline, Carrigaline Co Cork
- Dealgan House Nursing home Ltd, Curam Care Home Dundalk, Dundalk, Co Louth.
Working hours: 42 Hours per week. Pay Rate: €35,207.00 per annum
About the role:
The Health Care Assistant will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards of care practiced in the relevant care setting. The Health Care Assistant will provide holistic, person centered care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Duties include (But are not limited to):
Deliver the care of residents within a best practice / evidence based framework.
Apply the principles of effective delegation in all instances to the maximum level compatible with safety.
Have a working knowledge of HIQA Standards as they apply to the role / care setting, for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc.
Actively participate as a multi-disciplinary / inter-disciplinary team member in all aspects of service delivery including clinical meetings & team meetings.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual person centred care programmes within an agreed framework and in accordance with best practice.
Requirements:
Must complete Fetac Level QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent;
At least 1 year experience in care of the older person or comparable role is desirable;
Knowledge of Residential Care Legislation and HIQA Standards is advantageous;
