Car/Motor Mechanic

We are currently seeking 3 skilled and reliable Car/Motor Mechanic who will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing cars and other motor vehicles to ensure they are safe, roadworthy, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty or worn components, including brakes, clutches, suspension, steering, exhaust systems, and engine parts.
• Perform oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, and other preventative maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles to identify potential safety issues and recommend necessary repairs.
• Carry out engine diagnostics, repairs, and component replacements.
• Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure faults have been resolved.
• Use hand tools, power tools, vehicle lifts, and specialist diagnostic equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and servicing completed.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, health and safety procedures, and industry standards.
• Keep the workshop and equipment clean, organised, and in good working condition.
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues regarding vehicle faults, repairs, costs, and required maintenance.
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Skills and Requirements
• Proven experience as a Motor/Vehicle Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults.
• Good knowledge of servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Full driving licence is desirable.
• Relevant mechanical qualification or apprenticeship is desirable.
